White Cheddar Seasoning

I recently got addicted to Taters' and Chimara's white cheddar popcorn. Since I only get to eat them whenever I am watching a movie, I decided to buy this white cheddar powder seasoning that I found at Rustan's supermarket.

As soon as I got home, I cooked some microwave popcorn and seasoned it with white cheddar. The taste is very similar to that of Taters' and Chimara's but a bit saltier. Still, I am loving it and I am happy that I don't need to go to the mall just to buy a white cheddar popcorn :)

Highly recommended :)

Father's Day Movie Date

Good Thursday Morning!

How's your week so far? It's almost the weekend, are you as excited as I am? :)

Anyway, let me tell you about how we spent our Father's day weekend. It was just a simple family bonding over a movie and some cake. We watched "How To Train Your Dragon 2" at Trinoma while munching on some Potato Corner fries and Taters popcorn. After the movie, we had some fun playing and winning lots of tickets at Timezone before going to the grocery to grab some items. Before going home, we passed by Datablitz to get some new PS3 and PS4 games. Afterwhich, we headed home to spend the rest of the day eating cake while playing our new video games.

I would say, it was a well spent Father's day.

On me:

Mango shorts

On G:

It's a busy day for me... have a great day!

Look! A Younger Me!

I was letting my hair grow because I wanted to get a digi perm. I did not cut my hair for more than a year but finally decided to cut it short a couple of weeks ago.

The weight of my thick hair plus the unbearable heat took its toll on me . I would always have a migraine almost everyday and no amount of pain reliever would work. So I let go of my plans to have long and curly hair and went back to my favorite hairstyle... besides this hairstyle makes me look like a teenager again :)

Adidas Messi Rubber Shoes

Good Morning!

It's G's PE day today and he is going to wear his new rubber shoes for his PE class :)

We bought this a couple of weeks ago because he needed new rubber shoes for school. His old Kobe 8 shoes was too small for him already. He also can't tie his shoe lace properly yet and all his other rubber shoes have shoe laces.

I have no idea who Messi is - the salesman said that he is a popular football player - but I am loving the black and neon green color combination of the shoes!

I hope this will last for at least 2 years because I don't want to be buying new school and rubber shoes every year!

Have a great Thursday!

G's Birthday Party - Supplier's Review - Part 2

Photographer & Videographer: John Aguas
Value: 12.5K
Rating: 3.5 stars

John was recommended by Jhoanne of Polkadots. M and I were eyeing shutter count as the official photographer for the event however, they were a bit difficult to contact. We kept on calling their landline (they have no mobile number) but they don't pick up the phone. We finally gave up on shutter count about a month before the event. I asked Jhoanne if she could recommend any good but affordable photographers and she gave me 2 choices, one of them was John Aguas. M decided that we should get John based on the price and the package.

Package availed:
Photo and Video services
 - 2 persons covering the 3-hour event
 - DVD of all photos sent after 1-2 weeks
 - DVD of raw and edited video after 3 months

John and his partner came early so we were able to get hold a pictorial outside the venue before the party started. John welcomed all of my suggestions (like taking pictures of the food cart, details of the balloon setup, etc.) without any hesitations. They were able to capture G's happy moments during the party. They were very professional though a bit shy when I told them that they could also eat while the guests were eating and that they could get their food from the buffet table.

It was also good to know that my John is a good from of my SIL and her husband... small world. This gave me some assurance that John is good in his profession.

Why only 3.5 stars? John and partner were not able to take a picture of all the guests. Since I was busy minding the party, I forgot to tell them to take a picture of every guest table. They weren't able to suggest that we table hop to be able to take a picture of all the guests who attended. We also don't have a picture of my side of the family :(. He failed to suggest and gather around my family and extended family for a group picture.

Food Cart: Potato Corner
Value: 5500
Rating: 3.5 stars

Potato corner is one of my favorite food! I know that a lot of people likes potato corner that's why I got them as one of the food carts for G's birthday. I got the package that is good for 100 persons and it was sold out almost immediately. Booking them was breeze since Jhoanne of Polkadots was the one who handled it.

The reason I gave them 3.5 stars only is because they arrived 5 minutes before my booked party time! 5 minutes is not enough for them to set up their food cart! Almost all of the guests were already at the party venue when the crew of potato corner arrived.

Will I recommend them? Definitely but better to make sure that they will arrive early.

Food Cart: Precious Party Needs
Value: 2700 (Promo)
Rating: 5 stars

This was a steal... super affordable! I got 2 food carts (snow cone and waffle dog) good for 100 persons each (good for 4 hours) for only 2700 pesos! Dianne of Precious Party Needs may not always reply immediately but is very easy to talk to.

Her crew arrived early, as in super early, around 11-11:30 am even if my booked party time is 2-6 pm. The 2 gents that she assigned to my party are very nice and courteous. The food was also great and not "tipid". Almost all of the guests were able to taste the waffle dog and snow cone.

Would I recommend Precious party needs? Yes, though I am not sure if the other food carts that she offers taste good but money wise, Precious party needs is definitely recommended.

Face Painter: Party-cles
Value: 1800 (Promo)
Rating: 5 stars

I was able to avail a promo for the face painter from Party-cles. 3 hour face painting for only 1800 pesos. Super cheap! Party-cles sent Hero Ebuenga as the face painter for my party. He arrived 20 minutes for the party and was quickly able to set up his equipments.

At first, there were just a few kids who wanted to get their hand or face painted on but after a while, the kids are already forming a line just to get their arms painted.

I am not sure if the other face painter artists from Party-cles are also good but in any case that you will avail their face painting service, maybe you can request for Hero :)

Here's my flower outfit from yesterday... to cheer you up on this gloomy day:

Zara top
Miss Selfridge skirt

Fun Ranch Fun Day

I was able to buy a discounted ride and play all you can voucher online a few months ago but it was only recently (last day of the voucher validity) that I brought G to fun ranch to play. I wasn't able to take much pictures because it was super hot that day and I just wanted to stay under the shade while G was playing and having fun with the rides.

There are about 9 rides available plus the super big playdium. G had loads of fun in the playdium and was able to make some friends while playing.

All in all the discounted voucher was worth it, I would definitely be buying another voucher for fun ranch once it is available.

Shirt from Lacoste
Shorts from Mango
Sandals from Fitflop
Bag from Louis Vuitton

Shirt from The Venetian Macau
Shorts from Cotton On
Sandals from Crocs

Have a great Tuesday!

The Grove - Rockwell Food Truck Bazaar

We (my mom and I) have been wanting to try out the food truck bazaar at Capitol Commons for the longest time. Unfortunately, when we went to Capitol Commons a few weeks back, we found out that they have already moved to The Grove, Rockwell and Marikina.

Since, it was easier for us to go to The Grove, we decided to go there one Saturday night to check out the different food trucks available. We arrived there between 7 - 8 pm and looking for a parking slot was difficult. There was not much people there but all the available sidewalk and parking slots were occupied! Also, there were only around 4-5 food trucks there plus around 8 other stalls that sells drinks and other food products. We were a bit disappointed that there weren't enough food trucks and food to choose from so we just settled with the Philly cheesesteak (which we have tried already before), barbeque and chichapork. We spent around 800 pesos just for the food! The philly cheesesteak was expensive but good, the barbeque was good also plus the price was reasonable, it was the chichapork that was expensive and did not taste good... waste of money :(

We hurriedly ate our food because the place has lots of mosquitos! We just sat there for a little more than an hour and our legs and arms (even my face!) got lots of mosquito bites already!

We might still try the food trucks at Marikina but I don't think we will go back at The Grove food truck bazaar.
