Promod and Miss Selfridge Shopping Finds

It's been almost 2 months since I last shopped (last time was during my HK trip) and I had a hard time keeping my shopping to a minimum. Since I wasn't able to browse the new items in my favorite shops, I didn't realize that there are so many new stuff to buy! Oh My! I wanted  to buy them all but of course I promised myself that I would refrain from shopping because 1) I wanted to save 2) I have too many clothes and shoes already and 3) I am preparing myself for the shopping spree that I would be doing on December hahaha!

I went to the mall thrice and wanted  to buy everything but I only bought 2 items which I really can't let go:

How about you, what have you bought recently? :)

Dinner at Felix

Me, M, G, my mom, and our friends Y and E had dinner at Felix in Greenbelt 5 a couple of weeks ago. It was our second time to dine at Felix. They still ordered their usual go to food... steak but I decided to try something new so I settled with grilled prawns with spinach ravioli.

The food was great given their prices (not too expensive). The serving is good enough for 2 people so those who don't eat much can just share. G loved their creamy truffle pasta, in fact he was able to finish half of the serving! I loved the spinach ravioli and grilled prawns. The prawns were fresh and not overcooked, the ravioli was al dente. The filling of the ravioli is delicious, I am not sure what it was but it was creamy so I would assume that it was cheese :)

They also serve free bread, butter, and dip while you wait for your food. The waiters were attentive and courteous. The ambience is not something that I expected, it was too noisy like we were in a food court. The last time that we dined there, the ambience was a bit better. I don't know if the place really is that noisy when all the tables are occupied or if it was just the table near us who were noisy.

All in all, I would still recommend this restaurant.

I'm loving taking outfit pictures on the streets :)

The lighting and the nature-y background is great, though I only get the chance to do this every Friday. I probably should take more outfit shots outside the office building more often.

Hong Kong Trip - March 2014 - Day 5 (Macau)

Last day of our vacation :(

Last day in Macau was spent buying souvenirs from the Venetian boutique. We had a quick brunch first at one of the chinese restaurants of the hotel. Me and my MIL was able to save money for brunch by using the points that she got from the casino :D. After our meal, we went to the boutique already to buy some souvenirs before checking out of the hotel. I was able to buy a beach/travel bag for me and matching shirts for G and M. My MIL opted for the express check out (just fill out the form and drop the form together with the hotel key card at the front desk/reception area) since everything was already paid before we even got to Macau.

We rode the free shuttle bus of The Venetian Hotel going to the airport. It only took us 5 minutes to reach the airport from the hotel so we had a lot of time to spend in the airport while waiting for our flight.

There aren't much stores inside the Macau International Airport but I like the fact that they have 2 charging stations which can accommodate different brands of gadgets. Plus, the airport has free wifi :)

'Till my next adventure!

Hong Kong Trip - March 2014 - Day 4 (Macau)

Days 4 and 5 of our trip were spent in Macau. We rode the ferry from TST going to Macau and we almost got left behind by the ferry!

You see, we got to the ferry station around 10 am and bought tickets for the 11 am trip. We went in line for the immigration right after buying tickets. However, the immigration windows did not open until 10:30 am and there were lots and lots of people who were going to ride the 11 am trip ( I would say about a hundred!). My MIL did not let people cut the line in front of her so she was able to finish the immigration check quickly but my FIL allowed a whole family to cut the line so we were the last ones to go to the immigration window! After the checking at the immigration we were running already with all our bags because there were doing their last call already! Waaaaah!!! Good thing we got to the ferry just in time... meaning they removed the platforms and closed the doors right after we boarded!

The trip took about an hour. When we arrived at Macau, the line going to the immigration windows were much organized and people were not cutting lines. There were free shuttles going to almost all hotels so no need to get a taxi.

We stayed at The Venetian Hotel (thanks MIL!) and G loved the place. We went to St. Paul's Ruins right after checking in at the hotel. We just took some pictures, walked around a bit and bought some egg tart then we headed back to the hotel. Me, G and my MIL checked out the different shops while my FIL went straight to the casino :)

After browsing the shops at The Venetian and Conrad hotel, my MIL went to the casino also while me and G shopped at Pull & Bear for M's clothes.
