My New Favorite Dress

Too busy with work = no time to squeeze in a good blog entry. So this quick post will have to do :(

A quick story about this dress:

I asked my brother and dad to buy this dress for me around October 2013. I never had the chance to wear it before because when I first saw it I thought that it will not fit me. I said that I will only wear it when my tummy is flat enough - which means that I have to stop binge eating.

March 5 was that day! The night before, I wasn't able to eat dinner so when I woke up the next morning my tummy was flat enough for me to wear my new dress :)

I love this dress. I can wear it in the office, club or to a semi-formal/smart casual event. It also has a slit at the back which makes walking easier. The only downside is that I won't be able to eat a lot whenever I wear this hahaha!

Denim on Denim

I finally had the courage to don a denim on denim getup.

Dress: Forever 21
Denim vest: Terranova
Shoes: Bershka

It doesn't seem bad at all and I am starting to like it... a lot. I think I will be donning more denim on denim outfit in the future.

Anyway, today is payday Friday! Malls will be crowded and traffic will be horrible again! So, I will just sing my heart out at Redbox with my friends tonight while waiting for the traffic to lighten.

Enjoy the weekend!

Confusing Weather

Today's weather is very confusing.

It is supposed to be summer already which means that the heat will be unbearable (and people would want to hit the beach already!). However, I woke up to a slight drizzle which made me want to go back to sleep. Then the sun came out around 8:30 am. Come lunch time, the weather became gloomy again.

The reason people are getting sick (including me) is because of this abrupt change in weather. It will cold or rainy one minute, then hot and sunny the next. Plus add to that the freezing cold office temperature.

I have already made it a habit to take vitamin C every day and drink lots of water but it is of no use because I get a headache almost everyday and the sniffles almost every other week.

Maybe I should just stay in the beach? *I wish*

On to my outfit a few weeks ago:

Elevator Selfie I

These are the times when I have to rush my outfit shots or when I forget to remind my friend Y to take my picture.

It's a bit of a long trek from the lobby all the way to my office floor so I have several seconds to take a selfie inside the elevator :)

Dress: Ever New
Shoes: Michael Kors

Anyhow, tomorrow will by my first time to try the services of DFA in Megamall. My MIL will be treating G to an unexpected trip :)

G is very excited however, we need to rush his passport renewal because the validity of his passport is less than 6 months on the day of the travel. So, we are going to DFA Megamall tomorrow to have his passport renewed via rush processing (7 working days). I'm hoping that everything goes well and that the service in Megamall will be as quick and efficient as the one in Aseana.

Wish us luck (or else, all hell breaks loose!)

Bali, Indonesia Trip - January 2014 - Day 3

Fun Yacht Day!

This is the day that we get to enjoy riding a yacht. It costs 80 USD per person which includes the following: pick up to and from hotel, snacks and lunch at the yacht, water sports or activities and free lounging or stay at their partner resort.

At first we thought that the we had the whole yacht for ourselves but was told by the shuttle driver that there will be 80 of us there! Then I saw the yacht, I got disappointed. It was big, alright but it was old already. And then it started to move, my gosh! I felt like throwing up, it was a rough ride (too wavy). I drank some medicine that they are giving away and then went to sleep so that I won't feel the waves too much. After a while, the yacht stopped and it was already our time to swim or do some water sports. Before swimming in the sea/ocean, I waited for my friends A1 and A2. They don't feel too good because of the boat ride. We then went on to swim in the cold water before transferring to the jacuzzi where our other 2 friends are. We took a lot of pictures in the jacuzzi :) Before eating lunch, we rode their banana boat. I don't know if they are not allowed to go super fast because that banana boat ride was the slowest I've ever riden!

Lunch was okay, the crew served grilled chicken barbecue/satay, grilled fish with some spices, chopsuey like vegetables, french fries (which I loved haha!), fried noodles, rice, fruits, salad and bread. I was able to satisfy my hunger with the grilled chicken satay/barbeque, rice, fruits and french fries.

After lunch, we visited the partner resort of the yacht. It was not nice, there was nothing spectacular about it. Just a small pool with a bar, to go to the small beach, we had to make a 5 minute walk. We took more pictures at the beach before going back to the yacht.

Before heading back to the hotel, we asked the shuttle driver to drop us off at the outlet stores. The clothes and beachwear there are super cheap compared to the ones that they sell in the malls! I bought shirts and shorts for G and M and bikinis for me (my Bali shopping finds). We went back to the hotel to freshen up and then went to Beachwalk to shop some more and grab dinner there. My friends was able to eat something at the food court while I just shopped because the mall is about to close hahaha! I just asked them to go with me to the nearest McDonald's so that I can eat my dinner before we go back to the hotel.

Thank You Citibank + Terranova Shopping Finds

Thanks to Citibank's recent promo, I was able to buy 2 dozens of Krispy Kreme doughnuts for only Php 8! Yes, you read that right, 8 PESOS!

The promo started last February 14 until February 26. For every Php 2500 worth of single receipt purchases from February 14 - 18, you get 1 box (box of 6) Krispy Kreme doughnut for only Php 2 :)

I was able to buy 4 boxes, so we had a Krispy Kreme overload hahaha!

Anyway, aside from that, I was able to score these cute items from Terranova:

Thank goodness I was able to finally buy a denim cardigan after 3 years!

This party dress was on sale :)

On a side note, I'm so disappointed that La Salle lost game number 1 today (volleyball) :(
