Last Friday, I attended the first AGS PTC. It was my first time to attend a PTC and I did not know what to expect or do. The slot that I got was between 1:45 - 3:00 pm. I got there early, around 1:15 but did not know that I should write my name on the blackboard under the slot that was given to me (because G distracted me when he showed me where he was sitting at in the classroom). I only realized that I should have written my name in the blackboard when I overheard the other parents talking about it. So instead of being the first one under my slot, I was already number 4 :(.

The talk with the teacher is just short and quick, she just explained to me how G was doing during the 1st 3 weeks of school and that there will still be other PTCs in the future. When I was about to leave though, the rain suddenly poured and I didn't have any umbrella with me (left it in the car!). I just bought an umbrella at the AGS coop store which costs 180 pesos - rip off!

Due to the heavy rain (and trucks as well), the traffic going out of the campus and in Katipunan itself is super heavy. Good thing I was a good very good driver, I was able to weave my way out of the traffic in no time hahahaha (take that truck and male drivers! LOL!)!

Here's my outfit that day:

5 Hour Monday Traffic

We (me and M) got stuck in a 5 hour traffic at EDSA last Monday! It was our first time to be entangled in that traffic jam mess. We really did not expect it since we are used to the heavy traffic at EDSA caused by the rain but not this time. This time, the rain caused too much flooding at several parts of EDSA which brought the traffic to a standstill... literally a parking lot. Cars turned off their engines and we followed suit to save gas. M slept while I played candy crush in my phone while waiting for the traffic to move again.

After about an hour and a half, the cars started to move again but it was super, duper slow. We decided to wait by the emergency bay in front of MegaMall and turn of the car's engine so that we can save the little gas that we have (less than 1/4 and we are not even half way home!). We waited for about 30 minutes before heading home again. It was a good decision because after we passed by Ortigas flyover, there was no more traffic.

We got home after spending 5 hours on the road... whew!

Moving on, here's my outfit on that day:

Solaire Saturday

First time at Solaire!

We (me, M and our friends - Y, C and W) decided to visit the place last Saturday to see if the casino there is better than Resorts World. The place is huge (and the parking too!) but I still prefer Resorts World for several reasons:

1.) There are a lot of food/restaurant choices in Resorts World.
Although there is a food court in Solaire, the choices of food and restaurant in Resorts World is much better and cheaper. If you are in a budget, you can always eat at McDonald's or KFC in Resorts World.

2.) There is a mall in Resorts World.
No need for an explanation hahaha!

3.) There is a cinema in Resorts World.

4.) Lower minimum bet and no table with commission.
In Solaire, the minimum bet is 500 for baccarat and there are only 3 tables with this rate. There are also tables with commission in Solaire! Boo! What's up with that, right?!

5.) Republiq and Opus.
You can go clubbing after playing in the casino!

Office friends at Eclipse.

Dinner at Finestra.

Anyway, we didn't stay long in Solaire because there was not much to do and we have decided that we won't be going back there again hahahaha!

Rainy Friday

Rainy days are here!

It has been raining every afternoon for the past week or so, which causes more than heavy traffic during rush hour (especially on a Friday). So instead of going through the hell traffic (which we, me and M, have finally experienced last night -- more on that on another post) we would go out and have some dinner and drinks at Greenbelt with office friends... just like last Friday!

Last Friday, we (me, M and our office friends) went out to have some drinks which also serves as a welcome "party" to W who arrived last week. They went to Bollywood first while I had my nails done, I just followed after hahaha! When I arrived there, they were trying the shisha or whatever you call it and they let me try it too. I didn't like the taste, it was good at first but it had an after taste which tasted funny. Also, I don't like the food in Bollywood so I suggested that we transfer bars so that I can eat LOL!

We went to Greenbelt 2 to check out the other bars, most of them were full so we went to the tried and tested... Barcino! This time, instead of drinking beers, our friend, C, ordered 2 pitchers of Sangria.  It was my first time to drink a Sangria (not so sure about the spelling though) and it was not too bad at all. It tasted more like a juice than wine so we were able to drink a lot. After about 1 1/2 glasses the alcohol started to kick in, I did not feel tipsy or dizzy but instead I felt very, very, very sleepy! Since I will be the one driving home, I stopped and drank a lot of water... and just ate the food that we had hahaha!

Speaking of food, we ordered 3 kinds that night and all of them was great! We had the chorizo picante (?) something, gambas al ajillo (which was soooo good! It was spicy with lots of garlic...yum!) and carbonara. They also gave us free baguettes with olive oil. I also liked it, I think I a was the one who ate most of the food hahahaha!

I will definitely go back at Barcino for dinner and/or drinks.
Go try it guys!

Outfit last Friday:

Man of Steel and Sailor Moon

Since we weren't able to get tickets for our company's cinema night, which is tomorrow, we just decided to watch Man of Steel last Thursday. It was not really planned since all of the seats in all cinemas at Greenbelt were taken. We found good seats at Trinoma (via online reservation) but the showing time is at 9 pm. M had this feeling that not all movie showing time are shown in the website of Greenbelt cinema, so he decided to go to Greenbelt at lunch time to see if there are still tickets. He was right, he found good seats at a 7 pm showing time (this showing time is not shown in their website). So instead of going to the gym after office, we watched Man of Steel.

The movie is so-so for me, I just got excited because Kevin Costner is in the movie but the story itself is a bit dragging. The introduction of superman, how their planet ended, how his adoptive parents guided him in life was good for me but I don't like the "fighting" scenes. There was not enough action and it was taking so long before there is a conclusion to what was happening. It was good during the first and half hour but after that, I got bored and my butt muscles were aching already hahahahaha! Superman's looks saved it though, he was too handsome for me to not watch the whole movie hahahaha!

Would I recommend you to watch it? Yes.
Would I recommend you to watch it more than once? Yes, if you want to see Henry Cavill's face again hahahaha!

Here's what I was wearing last Thursday - ala sailor moon version 1:

Annual Staff Meeting Outfit

Last Monday, our office had its annual staff meeting at Fairmont Hotel in Makati. It was my 2nd time to attend the ASM but my first time to visit the hotel (Fairmont). I was excited at first thinking that the food will be great and the place will be nice. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met :(

The place is not as fancy as I thought it would be and we had no chairs. We had to stand up for at least an hour to listen to the presentation (we even had to walk from the office going to the hotel... a good 15 minute walk!). When it was time for the cocktails and to mingle around, most of the people were so hungry so we were all cramming at the bar to get some drinks. The food being served are not good also, I got full alright, but I was not satisfied :(. Good thing I found a chair where I could sit. My feet were aching so bad from all the walking and standing up!

Hopefully, next year will be better.

Singapore Trip - March 2013 - Day 1 (part 2)

*I forgot to post this before I posted Day 2... tsk.

Day 1 - Part 2 (Part 1 here)

We went out to meet Uncle Tony at Clarke Quay. We got there at around 7 pm but it was still very bright . We had a few drinks first at the bar beside Gmax. After we had a few drinks, we decided to ride the Gmax reverse bungy. It was scary and fun but a bit expensive (45 SGD for 2 minutes). Uncle Tony treated us to dinner at Jumbo seafood gallery. He ordered A LOT of food but the best was the chili crab.

It was my first time to eat at a seafood restaurant that gives you a bib. We were so full that after eating we decided to go home instead of partying at Clarke Quay.

*all singapore entries were written during my stay there
